Join us on 17th February 2022 at a time now changed to 14.30hrs GMT/ 15.30hrs CET for our first virtual event of 2022 with Nicole Mommsen, Head of Global Group Communications at Volkswagen, one of the world`s leading manufacturers of automobiles and commercial vehicles, headquartered in Germany.

Known for iconic cars like the Beetle, Volkswagen has emerged as one of the world`s most successful volume car manufacturers and stands for the history of individual mobility more than any other brand. Today, Volkswagen group is leading the next revolution of the car and mobility as a whole: the shift to e-mobility and autonomous driving

Nicole joined Volkswagen 18 months ago from Goldman Sachs, where she was head of corporate communications for Goldman Sachs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She started her career as a journalist at Bloomberg, switched sides to manage the financial communications at Deutsche Post DHL and later worked as a consultant for international clients at Brunswick. She switched sides again to lead global media relations for Merck Group, Darmstadt.

Nicole will be talking to Cornelia Kunze, GWPR International Board member and President of GWPR Deutschland, about the ‘New Auto’ strategy – the transformation of Volkswagen, which happens at a defining moment for the automotive industry as a whole.

She will share insights about the role of communications in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, where conflicting interest, stakeholder scrutiny and challenging geopolitics provide the daily context for the biggest evolution since the company`s beginnings in 1937.
