Women in PR UK is an independent networking organisation for senior and mid-level women working in the PR industry. Through our highly successful annual programme of events, we provide an important forum to enable members to share their experiences, exchange ideas and assist one another in business.

Women in PR (WPR) is the UK’s only association for senior and mid-career women working in the UK PR industry and is affiliated to the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association). A not-for-profit organisation, it was one of the first all women professional groups to be established in the UK over 50 years ago.

It is an independent networking organisation for senior women working in the PR industry and also offers associate membership for mid-career women. It provides an important platform to enable members to share their experiences, assist one another in business and exchange ideas.

Supporting gender balance in the boardroom and supporting the future female talent and the next generation of women leaders in the PR industry is part of its core purpose.

Its membership base reflects the changing dynamics and diversity of our industry with members from all areas of the profession, including board members of the PR Week Top 150 agencies, in-house communications directors, owners of independent consultancies, as well as freelancers.

Events hosted by WPR vary from lunches with high profile guest speakers from the media and business, networking drinks events held in exclusive venues and panel debates. WPR also organises and manages the PR Week Mentoring scheme in conjunction with PR Week.

The WPR committee comprises, President Bibi Hilton (Golin London), Claire Foster (Direct Line), Nicola Hyde (Consultant), Jane Baerselman (Consultant), Ali Jeremy (NSPCC), Nicky Imrie (The PR Network), Georgie Blizzard (The PR Network), Ruth Allchurch (Waggener Edstrom), Ebony Gayle (Consultant), Anna Geffert (Newgate Comms), Jo-ann Robertson (Ketchum UK), Sarah Samee (Cifas) and Abbie Sampson (Energy UK).
