“Let’s talk female!” was the theme for GWPR Deutschland’s event on 16th January when their members along with staff from E.ON shared their experiences and opinions on the topic of “do women lead differently to men?”
Prof. Dr Astrid Szebel-Habig provided insights on the quality of decision making between mixed gender teams, new styles of leadership and the influence of hormones on the leadership style of both men and women.
The key words “Taillight Germany” were cited in the Allbright study which showed Germany was at the bottom of the list compared to France, the UK, Poland, Sweden and the USA when it comes to women in senior management and Board levels. “It seems a woman can become chancellor in Germany, but not a CEO” – and it’s time to change that!
